Very bad service. I have a two years old. I have ask if fish dish is spicy or not. Waitress told me it not, child can eat, turns out very spicy. Another dish waitress told me can cook as non spicy, but is it cool as usual spicy. So is another dish. There is nothing my daughter can eatmy daughter was hungry, I asked to bring fried rice first MANY times. But we were there almost two hour, they just ignore us, still didn’t bring it. My daughter was starving!!! When we ask to cancel, they said they were cooking!!And they didn’t not even bring bowls for soup, and soup was served almost as last course!!Food are just average

Hunan and Sichuan style cuisine is the best in Richmond. Shredded pork with veg has a style，I order that every time.

It is was reported during 2016 that this restaurant reused oil and hot peppers collected from food leftover. So disgusting

This restaurant is really Chinese restaurant. The waitress rude and doesn't know how to service customers. Just care for to charge more tips. I suggest normal people never get to there.

Expect great food but not ambience. Make your taste bud dance but not your comfort.

Taste as good as expectation

Food tastes ok but some are very over-priced (e.g. fish head with pepper, marked as "current market price"). Do not order non-Hunan style dishes which are often either poorly made or over-priced. Service can be a hit and miss too.

BAD customer service!!!waited at the entrance for 5 min, finally someone came and said we need to wait for 10-15 min! We went at 5:30 and there were 8 EMPTY tables. We asked why we need to wait when there are so many empty tables?!?! She said because there were booking, so I glanced at the booking note book, there’s only 3 names so 3 booking!!! All in all only OK food!!! But very bad customer service!!!

Used to be good. Now dish is only mediocre, overpriced, sub-par service, and gauging every cent of tips. Used to visit weekly but no more.

Was there for a private rooms dinner. Food was not good. Would advise not to go, so many better options in Richmond, land of all Chinese food.

The dishes are very spicy and delicious. If you like hot food, then you should give it a try. It might get your taste buds on fire until the next day. Definitely unforgettable dining experience. Orginal traditional China HuNan style cuisine. The price is fair enough. Not too expensive, however, not cheap as well.

Bad service. I didn't pay the check and walked away and no one cared.

I would give no star if possible. Half hour after placing the order, there came the first dish, thank God. We can't say the dishes were good and most of them were over fried, maybe the cook wasn't happy that day. Servers did the table job with no care and one of them even cough really hard to the plates he was organizing, eeel ! Will never go there again. And no, we didn't tip at the end.

Reminds me of those restaurants in China where bus tours drop you off. Cavernous and cold. Food just okay. Twice cooked pork had black beans which was unusual. Mouth watering chicken seemed dry. Veggie pancakes tasted good but strangely had microscopic bits of egg in it.

My family is from Hunan and I would say this is the best you can get in the Lower Mainland. You just have to know what to order. Braised pork belly, hot and sour fish, and the zhangjiajie plate are extremely good.

Decent meal, if you love hot spicy food this should be one on your check list.

Excellent food! Diversity of dishes expertly made. If you love spicy cuisine, this is the place! If you don't, there are a lot of options for you anyway. Always busy, great service, friendly staff.

Really really dirty. There were flies flying around....can’t imagine how bad is it in the kitchen. I’m pretty sure it’s bad because after eating there, I had a major stomachache that night and I had to go to the washroom 5 times. Pretty sure it’s them because I didn’t eat anything else that day. The waitress was like “oh, this time of the year is always like that everywhere. All the other restaurants are like that too”. ....if it was outdoor, then yeah, ok, that makes sense, but it’s indoor!!! And what the heck are you talking about? It’s not the weather’s fault! Those flies are there because of several possible reasons! 1) not get clean 2) dirty water somewhere 3) raw food lying around 4) a lot of dishes that aren’t washed!Do not go. I highly suggest not going, this is similar to food poison.

If you're looking for an authentic Hunan restaurant, this is it. It is spacious, well maintained, clean and comfortable. Free parking is always a bonus. Service was okay, but we came for the food, and it was delicious. We chose the spicy and chili ones, but there is a good variety of vegetarian and non-spicy options as well.If you can't speak Mandarin or Cantonese, you'll be glad the menu has pictures, although the dishes are interestingly named :)

If you like the numbing kind of spicy, this is the place to go. The spice level is not very high and should be easily tolerable by most but the flavor is great and definitely worth a try.

Bad service, especially a middle aged waitress with shoulder length hair, she is so impatient when i asked her for recommendations, cashier is also rude, who is around 55 yrs old lady, every waiter or waitress looks tired and unfriendly, probably they are not well paid or not well trained . taste is about average, dirty chairs with stains and hairs on the cover, highly not recommended . Only one waitress with round face and pony tail looks friendly and motivated. Again , not recommended!!!!!

I went once with my Indian friend, he like spicy food !
